SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed concerning the large variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] here is to reach-out to your significant amount of clients/beneficiaries SRD to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The assistance position developed for intervention encounters a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
